1958 formal southern belle

Ginny herself didn't change much during this period.

She was a bent-knee walker with molded lashes and saran or dynel wig.

Mainly, her clothes and accessories became much fancier and more elaborate in order to keep up with an increasingly more affluent and worldly market.

Trunks, furniture, gym sets, story books, toys, pets, and party accessories flourished.

Ginny experts out there in CyberLand: I am not certain that all of these are from the 1957- 61 time period. Can you verify? Please email me the answer.

Popular costumes of this time included skaters, equestrians, drum majorettes, ballerinas, cowgirls, nuns, nurses, brides and bridesmaids, skiers, southern belles, as well as the beginning sof an International Series: Eskimo, Scandinavian, Oriental, Israeli,  British, Hawaiian, and the ever-popular Dutch Girl.

1961 : Most Ginny dolls this year had freckles and green eyes.
